Rules. Balance. Consequences. War.
Book 5 of 6 in The Soulkeepers Series
When Fate gave Dane the water from Eden to drink, she did more than save his life. She changed his destiny.
Since the beginning, a covenant between God and Lucifer has maintained a tenuous peace, balancing Soulkeepers and Watchers and the natural order of things. Dane upset that balance the day he became a Soulkeeper. Fate broke the rules.
Now, Lucifer is demanding a consequence, requiring Fate to pay the ultimate price for her involvement. God intervenes on the immortal’s behalf but in order to save her soul must dissolve the covenant and with it the rules, order, and balance that have kept the peace. A challenge is issued. A contest for human souls begins. And the stakes? Earth. Winner take all.
The Soulkeepers are at the center of a war between Heaven and Hell, and this time nobody, anywhere, is safe from Lucifer’s reach.

Lost Eden The Soulkeepers Series Book 5 eBook G P Ching
This is my first read of GP Ching's "Lost Eden". It's book five in The Soulkeepers series. It's difficult to pin down one or two reasons why this book deserves more stars than Amazon allows - there are so many, so bear with me, because this could get long I'll do my best to keep it short.
1. The subject. It's a classic good versus evil, but it's the ULTIMATE good vs evil - GOD versus Lucifer. It's a tough subject to write about...especially when it's not written as a futuristic book. These things could happen tomorrow, and I commend the author for tackling an incredibly tough subject with gusto! Ching jumps in with both feet and doesn't look back!
2. Characters. I love that Ching shows different points of view throughout her series. In book one, it was just from Jacob's POV. Book two was both Malini and Jacob's POV. Book three added Dr. Abigail Silva & Gideon's plus Mara and Henry (two of my favorite characters). Book four added Dane and Cheveyo, and also Ethan, and now Book 5 adds Bonnie - who I've really enjoyed getting to know. They've all made transformations of some sort - and I IDENTIFY with each and every character she writes from - even Lucifer - you can FEEL his anger, his hostility, his MANIA - he is straight-up unstable! They've all elicited some major emotions from the reader - whether it be dispair, anger, pride, HOPE or inner strength; and I feel like I'm a part of this exclusive Soulkeepers group - that these people could be real - living out these amazing situations. And that brings me to number 3.
3. The brilliance of the story!! The brilliance of a human truth told in such an extraordinary way: that, in order to get to the summit, you're gonna go through a lot hardships - you're mess up, you're gonna lose things - hope or even friendships. That it isn't so much the destination, but the people we choose to climb with, and the things we do/people we influence along the way. That in order for God's master plan to play out, sometimes you just have to hold on and let the bad things happen, and just trust that God has things under control - and He WILL win in the end. He's God - we know he wins. But the path to make it happen is what will either make or break us.
I know that was really long, so here's the TLDR version:
Classic story of good versus evil with kickass, love-to-hate, and inspiring characters who evolve with every story, making you wanna root for them when they are doing badass stuff, and cry with them when they go through periods of loss. The story is a web of events thy ultimately all lead to one thing: who are you loyal to? The light? Or the darkness??
READ the SOULKEEPERS SERIES! You won't be disappointed!!

Lost Eden The Soulkeepers Series Book 5 eBook G P Ching Reviews
Definitely read the whole series if you haven't yet. Although it may be listed under young reader (if my memory serves me right) it is a great series with a really awesome story that needs to be told. A battle between good and evil that the author tells well .
I was Soooo thrilled to see that this and the sixth book had come out. I believe that the 6th is the final in the series and I will truly be sad to see these characters go and this story come to a close. However it was certainly worth the read!
I love this entire series and cannot wait for the last book, I wish it would never end... A Great book once your done its like losing a friend and in this series I've gotten very attached to the characters, I've laughed, cried gotten angry , and cheered them on.. Can't wait for book 6... I recommend these books highly!!! Sincerely Darlene SCARSILLONI )
Thank you G. P. Ching for an awesome would of love, forgiveness, and heavenly glory. Your story has touched my heart and has caused me to look at the would through more forgiving eyes.
In this day and time many are blaming others for their economical state and looking for a way out of their circumstances. I know this book is a work of fiction but there was so much truth in it. The relationships between the characters was so real and just plain jaw dropping entertaining. May God bless you in your upcoming endeavors.
I love to read G.P. Kings books!!
In reading the "very first" book I learned NOT to figure out the authors ending, much less what what is going to happen next!!
**GRAB YOUR SEAT BELTS!!**
I promise I will do my best to read more of her books !!
Why look for more when I have a proven author!!
I was afraid that because the first four books were so good, they couldn't get better, but I was way wrong! So far every book in the series has been thoroughly thrilling and irresistible. Book five doesn't disappoint! I ended up pulling an all nighter because there was no point in the book at which you can put it down. G.P. Ching's bold imagination weaves a captivating story of survival, love and faith all in the face of danger and evil. By far the best series I have read!!
Wanting to know more about how the characters would change and evolve, and how the overwhelming forces disrupting their society would be met, compelled me to read on.
I see their society's democracy, freedom of thought, and choice, were threatened. And, I wonder if Kock Industries and the Kock brothers attempts to do likewise to our society was the author's inspiration.
The idea that the people became capable of understanding what was being done to them and chose to collectively oppose, was hopeful.
God is good. And I look forward to her possible intervention here. May she find a way to remove the blindfold the Right Wing has successful placed on many.
I liked every one of the Soulkeeper series books. This was #5 of six, and I just finished "The Last Soulkeeper," number six. The sad part about this particular installment is the rules are changed in such a way that the soulkeeper haven is no longer safe from intrusion. And so it requires all the remaining soulkeepers to stay a step ahead of Lucifer and his watchers. Now that I've completed the series, I can say without hesitation the plot keeps you hopping, and the dialogue is witty at times. It is worth reading all six, and I might say the entertainment value makes each book your "home away from gnome."
